2020 Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program Contract Amendment # 1

Discussion and possible action to approve Amendment #1 to Contract Number #58200003175 for the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for the Program Year 2020, in the amount of ONE MILLION EIGHT HUNDRED TWELVE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED AND THIRTY SEVEN DOLLARS ($1,812,937.00). This Amendment #1 will increase funding from $1,541,275.00 to $1,812,937.00 and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents. This action will not have impact to the General Fund. All required documents were sent for review through the Economic Development Department and the solicitation with the Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC) procedures. Issue: Approve funding increase Amendment # 1 for the CEAP Program Grant from TDHCA for the Program Year 2020 in the amount of $271,662.00.

Solution: The Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) provides direct client serves to eligible, disabled and low income residents of Webb County.

Result: The services are intended to assist eligible Webb County residents with up to 12 highest remaining calendar months of energy consumption.
