Discussion and possible action to award Invitation to Bid (ITB) 2022-011 “Welch Road Culvert Improvements” to the second lowest and responsible bidder Gilmar Construction LTD for an amount not to exceed $528,900.00 in accordance with the Texas Government Code; Section 2269.101 (Contracts for Facilities: Competitive Bidding) and to further authorize the County Judge to execute the construction contract and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: Four (4) bids were submitted for this formal solicitation as authorized by Commissioners Court on January the 18, 2022. Final plans and specifications were later turned over to the Purchasing Agent on March the 7th, 2022, by Project Engineer Porras Nance Engineering.

Solution: Consider awarding the bid to the lowest and responsible bidder, Gilmar Construction, LTD for an amount not to exceed $528,900.00.

Result: Proceed with execution of construction contract and Notice to Proceed upon securing all insurance and bonding requirements.
