Discussion and possible action to authorize the County Judge to submit a Request for Waiver of Local Match Fund Participation Requirement on Federal Off-System Bridge Program Project to the TxDOT Laredo District Engineer to use funds in the amount of Forty Thousand Four Hundred Fifty Two Dollars ($40,452.00) for the replacement of a guardrails on the bridge on Mangana Hein Road at Dolores Creek and any other matters incident thereto.

Background:

TxDOT repairs and replaces many off system bridges and the County pays a portion of the design and construction.

To maximize the County's funds, a waiver of the payment of these funds can be requested so that the funds can be used on another bridge. The County has identified a bridge on Mangana Hein Road that needs repairs and would use the funds to replace the bridge guardrails using County work forces and materials.
