Discussion and possible action to approve the submission of a grant application to the Bulletproof Vest Partnership Act for Forty-Nine (49) bulletproof vests in the amount estimated at $19,722.50; and designating the Webb County Judge as the authorized official in all matters related to this grant; and any other matters incident thereto. This grant requires a Fifty (50%) percent cash match. [Grant Match: Federal Forfeiture Funds]

Background:

The Bulletproof Vest Partnership (BVP), created by the Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant Act of 1998, is a U.S. Department of Justice initiative designed to provide a critical resource to local law enforcement.

Previous Court Action:

The submission and approval of this grant is approved by the Webb County Commissioners’ Court on a yearly basis.
