Financial Impact:
The following line item transfer is deeply needed for part-time employees. The part-time employees presently working at our office are also attending college full-time. They assist in all areas of the office but currently are focused in helping us in the Courts Division due to the high frequency of reports, bookings, and CJIS data entry. If granted, this transfer will have no financial impact to the general fund.

As requested and approved last year on Monday, April 22, 2013, under item #18, we kindly ask the Honorable Commissioners Court to once again grant us the opportunity to transfer $40,000 from our County Clerks Records Management and Preservation Fund Payroll Account (009) to our Part-Time Account (009). If approved, the County Clerk's Office will hire temporary part-time employees that will work between the months of June and August. Our practice has been to hire individuals working on a college degree. The employees are hired with the goal to help advance the County Clerk's Office on year round vital projects . Summer after summer, the temporary part-time employees have assisted us tremendously in the minor time span of approximately two months and have definitely proven to be a constructive component of our office .
