Discussion and possible action to approve the submission of a grant application as prepared and submitted by the Webb County Head Start and Early Head Start Program to the Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children & Families for a Fiscal Year 2018 - 2019 Refunding grant in the amount of $10,068,938 (Federal) and $2,517,235 (Non Federal) for a Total Amount of $12,586,173 for services to 1,290 eligible children and their families; and authorizing the Webb County Judge to execute all relevant documents related to this grant; and other matters thereto. Furthermore, this grant does not require a cash match; and, thus will have no impact to the general fund. All required documents were sent for review through the Economic Development Department and the solicitation is compliant with the Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC) procedures. Background:

The 2018 - 2019 Head Start and Early Head Start Refunding Application is for year five of a five year funding cycle.

Previous Court Action:

The 2017 - 2018 Head Start and Early Head Start Refunding Application was approve on May 22, 2017.
