Rescind Award - Romo Contractors

Discussion and possible action to rescind the award to Romo Contractors, LLC for ITB 2020-003 “County Court at Law II Renovations” in the amount of $95,600.00 and to further authorize the Purchasing Agent to re-bid this project and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #1001-1100-001-443000-255 (Repairs & Maintenance – Justice Center)]

Issue: There was conflicting language in respect to the bonding requirements and more specifically with the bid bond requirement.

Solution: This error was discovered after the award and in order to provide a fair and transparent process it is the recommendation of the Purchasing Agent and General Counsel to re-bid the project.

Result: Secure new bids and recommend lowest and responsible bidder to Commissioners Court.
