Discussion and possible action to authorize the purchase of one (1) 2023 EZGO Valor RXV Gas Golf Cart to include a three (3) year factory limited warranty from Corpus Christi Golf Cars (OMNIA Partners Cooperative Contract #R210201) for an amount not to exceed $8,844.10 and any other matters incident thereto [Account #1001-2450-001-470000 (Juvenile Probation Administration - Capital Outlay)].

Issue: The Juvenile Department has requested assistance from the Constable’s Office to provide random exterior perimeter checks around the facility. The golf cart will be used by the Deputy(s) to patrol the area.

Solution: Consideration to approve the two-seater golf cart for the requested services by Juvenile Department administration. Additional price quotes were obtained, price quote provided by Corpus Christi Golf Carts is the lowest price for the requested specifications of golf cart. In addition to initial cost of equipment, this capital asset will require insurance coverage and fuel/maintenance expenses which will be covered by the department's general fund budget.

Result: If approved, the department will initiate the perimeter security checks with the assistance of the Constable’s Office(s).
