Subject:

Discussion and possible action to enter into a One Month (May 30, 2023 through June 30, 2023) "Partnership Memorandum of Agreement" between the Laredo Independent School District ("LISD") and Webb County for the Development and Support of an Internship Program for LISD students in order to provide the students with meaningful county administrative work experience, and authorizing the Webb County Judge to execute all relevant document and any matter incident thereto. [No Financial Impact to Webb County]

Issue: Webb County offers a plethora of government services related to improving our community and by which LISD student interns will be afforded the opportunity for meaningful work experience with the county which may prepare them for positions in the fields of their selected program of study.

Solution: At no financial cost, Webb Count will provide sixteen (16) LISD interns with meaningful county administrative work experience.

Result: LISD interns will gain real life exposure to county government work.

Background:

This Agreement will allow Webb County to provide students enrolled in LISD to obtain real work experience in county government.
