Discussion and possible action to accept grant funding and enter into an agreement with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under Fiscal Year 2024 Economic Development Initiative (EDI) - Community Project Funding (CPF) for the project, State Highway 359 Colonias Street Improvements Project for $500,000. This grant award does not require a county cash/in-kind match.

Issue: The US Department of Housing & Urban Development awarded $500,000 to Webb County for the 359 Highway Colonias Street Improvement Project.

Solution: Webb County accepts $500,000 from the US Department of Housing & Urban Development for the HWY 359 Colonias Street Improvement Project.

Result: The US Department of Housing & Urban Development award will allow roadway improvements adjacent to Hwy 359. The Economic Development Department will ensure compliance with requirements from the funding agency.
