Webb County VTP - SAMHSA No Cost Extension Notice of Award

Subject:

Discussion with possible action to approve the acceptance of a one-time No-Cost Extension to Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) as developed, written, and submitted by the Webb County Veterans Treatment Program in the amount not to exceed Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000) and authorizing the Webb County Judge to execute all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. This no-cost extension does not require any match, therefore there is no impact on the general fund. All required documents were sent for review through the Economic Development Department and the solicitation is compliant with the Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC). Issue: The Current VTP SAMHSA Grant No. TI081929 is in its last budget year, ending May 30, 2024, and the new solicitations for the FY 2024 grant period begins September 30, 2024.

Solution: Authorize the acceptance of a No Cost Extension Application to SAMHSA to ensure completion of the originally approved project.

Result: The award will allow a continuity of services to ensure completion of services provided in Year 5.

The Current VTP SAMHSA Grant No. TI081929 is in its last budget year, ending May 30, 2024, and the new solicitations for the FY 2024 grant period begins September 30, 2024. Therefore, grant recipients may request and submit a one-time post award amendment to request an extension of up to 12 months on their project to ensure completion of the program's goals.
