Discussion and possible action to settle a property damage claim brought on by Jose. L. Virjan. Incident occurred on March 11, 2024, between a county vehicle and Jose L. Virjan; and any other matters incident thereto. [Executive Session may be requested pursuant to Texas Government Code, Title 5, Subchapter D, Section 551.071 (1)(A) (Consultation with Attorney regarding pending settlement offer]

Issue: A vehicle incident involving a Community Action Agency-Meals on Wheels vehicle (2021 Ford Transit Van) struck a small corner of a cement barrier (property of Mr. Jose L. Virjan). Damage was sustained to claimants' property.

Solution: To approve the settlement as recommended.

Result: Once the settlement is approved, Jose L. Virjan, as Claimant, will release Webb County for all property claims regarding damages done to property.

Background:

Meals on Wheels transit van made a wide turn and struck a small corner of a cement barrier located on Mr. Jose L. Virjan's property.
