Discussion and possible action to award Bid 2015-2 "Reconstruction of Homes Webb County Self-Help Center" to the lowest and best qualified bidder for the Self-Help Center Program, (Contract #712003) and authorized the County Judge to sign all relevant documents. This activity is Grant Funded and will have no impact to the County's General Fund.

Issue: Webb County Self-Help Center received bids for Reconstruction of 3 homes and bids need to be awarded.

Solution: A recommendation from staff is received to award the bids to the lowest best bidder for these homes.

Result: The lowest best Contractor will be awarded the Self-Help Center bids, according to the staff recommendations and consturction may commnence.

Background:

This activity is required under the terms of the Self-Help Center Grant Contract. Three homes will be reconstructed according to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs program requirements. All homes follow the plans & specs developed by Redline architect.

Previous Court Action:

Commissioner's Court previously authorized the recommendation of the Webb County Scoring Committee to solicit bids for these addresses.
125 W. Ibarra was presented to the Webb County Scoring Committee on 8/14/13 and authorized by Commissioner's Court on 8/26/13.
6828 Desperado and 105 W. Miers were both presented to the Webb County Scoring Committee on 10/3/13 and authorized to solicit bids by the Commissioner's Court on 10/15/13.
