Subject:

Discussion and possible action to authorize the modification of the Social Worker job description for grant funded slot #2917 to accurately reflect the current job duties and any other matters incident thereto. If approved by this court, the modifications to the job description will be taken to the Civil Service Commission for Certification. There will be no financial impact to the grant or the general fund.

Issue: In order for Social Workers to be eligible to obtain certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, certain criteria must be met and reflected in the job description. While the duties required for the certification are being performed, they are not reflected in the current job description.

Solution: Modify job description for Social Worker in order to accurately reflect the current job duties being performed.

Result: The job description will be an accurate description of the job duties as implemented, and in addition, allow Social Workers to meet the criteria for further certification.
