Discussion and possible action to approve the purchase of Contract #2014-43 to Annual Contractor, Laredo Machine Shop of Rio Bravo, Texas, in the amount of $3,346.00 for Ammonia Pump Cylinder Storage unit and Copper Sulfate Pumping unit for Raw Water Splitter Box facility. [Account #745-3001-8801-11]

Background:

Contractor will provide repair of Ammonia Storage Facility Pump system and new Copper Sulfate Pumping unit at Splitter Box by providing all materials, labor and tools to modify the facilities' safe, efficient and effective treatment alternative for the Rio Bravo Water Treatment Facility. This project not only enhances the plant's ability to meet regulatory requirements but also increases the level of safety for employees and neighboring businesses and residents.
