Discussion and possible action to approve the purchase of contract to Laredo Mechanical Industrial Services, Inc., in the amount of $12,800.00 for repair of High Service Pump Station Pumping equipment. [Sec. 262.024. DISCRETIONARY EXEMPTIONS. (a). A contract for the purchase of any of the following items is exempt from the requirement established by Section 262.023 if the commissioners court by order grants the exemption: (11) vehicle and equipment repairs]. [Account #745-3001-8801-11]

Background:

Contractor is to remove Pump and Pump Base of first 600 gpm pump and provide for installer, seal and bearing and shaft inspection with full machining and painting of unit. Upon inspection full price and cost is to be provided for final purchase order. After pump is repaired and rehabbed it is to be re-installed by contractor with laser alignment and placed back into service. Upon service confirmation, the second pump is to be removed and the process is followed again for the next three pumps.
