Discussion and possible action to approve a budget amendment in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code Section 111.0706 (Special budget for Grant or Aid Money) to a 2013 Operation Stonegarden (OPSG) Grant in the amount of $58,300 as supplemental funding reallocated to Webb County Sheriff's Office for border security equipment upgrades.

Increase Revenues:
345-2001-3501 58,300 Grant Revenue

Increase Expenditures:
345-2001-6402 2,300 Repairs & Maintenance to Equipment
345-2001-8801 56,000 Capital Outlay

Background:

Due to non-compliance by a neighboring County; 2013 OPSG funds were reallocated to Jim Hogg and Webb County for border security equipment upgrades and other eligible expenditures. Jim Hogg is currently requesting an extension up to 8/15/15 to allow both Counties to procure, receive and pay vendors for approved services/goods. SAA/FEMA have confirmed that extension will be approved.

Sheriff's Office recommends approval.

Previous Court Action:

On July 13, 2015, Commissioners Court approved the acceptance of this Grant award for supplemental funds under 2013 OPSG Grant totaling $58,300.
