Discussion and possible action to authorize the purchase of Two (2) helicopter blades from Marroquin Aviation Maintenance in the amount not to exceed $26,000 utilizing Fiscal Year 2015 Operation Stonegarden (OPSG), Fiscal Year 2016 Operation Stonegarden, and forfeiture funding in the amount of $26,000, pursuant to Section 262.024 discretionary exemptions (a)(11), vehicle and equipment repairs, Texas Local Government Code; and any other matters incident thereto. [$7,609 from Account #2467-3010-001-443000 (FY 2015 OPSG); $8,030 from Account #2468-3010-001-443000 (FY 2016 OPSG); and $10,361 from Account #2153-3020-001-443000-075 (Forfeiture Funds)]

Issue: The aviation division is in need of replacement blades for continued use of the OH6A Helicopter for border security and other critical operations.

Solution: Court authorization for the purchase of these various needed aviation items.

Result: The helicopter will continue to provide needed border security and other critical public safety operations.
