Discussion and possible action to enter into a lease agreement with the City of Laredo to lease approximately two thirds of the building and half of the parking area of the County building located at 1300 Chicago Street, Laredo, Texas, 78041 (former Juvenile Detention Facility) for One Dollar a year for a 20 year term with one additional five year renewal option for the express purpose of operating a Detoxification Facility and for utility costs to be prorated based on the parties occupancy and any matters incident thereto; authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents. [No additional financial effect on the County’s Budget]

Background:

City of Laredo will operate a Detoxification Facility for residents of the City and County. Webb County has remodeled the building at no cost to the City and the City will provide the services to the City-County community.
