Discussion and possible action to order a General Election to be held on the 4th day of November, 2014 as required by Article XVI, Section 65 of the Texas Constitution, for the purpose of electing county and precinct officers in the County of Webb, Texas.

Background:

Candidates that were successful in the Primary and/or Runoff Elections will now be placed on the November 4, 2014 General Election ballot.

Previous Court Action:

The Court, in its regular meeting of July 14th, called for a Special Election to fill the vacancy (unexpired term) that occurred upon the resignation of commissioner, pct. 1. The Special Election ordered by the Commissioners will run in conjunction with the November General Election.
