Discussion and possible action to continue paying grant funded personnel under the Criminal Justice Division (CJD) Grant No. 2466303, Webb County Border Prosecution Unit Grant, for Thirty (30) days, until notification about grant continuation award from the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor's Office. [Fund Source 338]

Background:

The District Attorney's Office utilizes this grant to keep improving the quality of prosecutions specifically in the area of organized crime / criminal enterprise cases. This grant is continuation of the current existing grant. The grant pays for the following 2 personnel positions:

Border Prosecutor
Regional Counsel

Previous Court Action:

Commissioners Court approved the submission of the grant application on July 14, 2014.
