Discussion and possible action to secure engineering services from Porras Engineering in the amount of $5,500 to conduct a drainage study and report (services include surveying, modeling, etc.) for that area in Mirando City generally located North of 6th street between Linder and Behlen Avenues, and to grant a professional services exemption pursuant to Local Government Code Section 262.024 (4) Discretionary Exemptions; said study to provide two to three options to mitigate recurring flooding of the streets and residences in the vicinity. Background:

This firm was selected based on their previous work experience in the area in their development and approval of the FEMA flood hazard study performed in conjunction with the USDA grant for sewer improvements to the Mirando City Rural Water Supply Corp. (MCRWSC)
