Discussion and possible action to approve the posting and filling of the following Slots, subject to the availability of payroll funds and any applicable Webb County employment guidelines, effective August 22, 2016:

Issue: There is a need to fill the following critical positions: (Slot #1882 & #1969) of Assistant District Attorney. These positions will provide for the prosecution of criminal cases. The District Attorney’s Office is currently operating at capacity with minimum personnel. Leaving these positions open will adversely affect the prosecution of criminal cases.

Solution: fill the vacant positions of Assistant District Attorney (Slot #1882 and #1969).

Result: The filling of the Assistant District Attorney positions will alleviate the work overload and allow for efficiency and productivity in providing Justice for victims.
