Discussion and possible action to approve a professional service contract between Webb County for the Webb County Sheriff’s Office and Strother & Company, Consultant, for consulting services to conduct law enforcement related informational gathering, analysis, strategic planning, and informational dissemination to public, including gathering of factual data/dissemination related to public safety, jail overcrowding, cost-benefit analysis of contracting detention services to other jail facilities, jail repair costs, and other matters related to the proposed new jail facility and by order of Commissioners Court to grant an exemption to competitive bidding pursuant to Section 262.024, (a)(4) Texas Local Government Code, Discretionary Exemption-Professional Services and authorizing the County Judge to execute all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. The effective date of this contract shall be August 21st, 2017 through November 8th, 2017. The contract amount shall not exceed $6,250.00 to be paid on a monthly basis over two and one-half (2.5) months at a rate of $2,500.00 per month or as services are rendered.
