Discussion and possible action to approve the purchase of six (6) Semi-Automatic specialty sniper weapons for $23,394.00 and twenty (20) Border Operator AR Tactical Pistols for $32,100.00 from CCF Tactical LLC, for the Webb County Sheriff’s Office and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #1001-3010-001-460140 (General Fund – Sheriff Patrol Administration-Fire Arms & Ammunition)]

Issue: In order to be able to protect against threats to public safety, modern specialized equipment is needed. Platforms more suited to Close Quarter engagements and longer distance precision shooting rifles are being requested.

Solution: Proceed with sole bid for these tactical weapons contingent upon approval by Commissioners Court. Competitive bids were advertised, only one bidder responded to public solicitation.

Result: Order weapons for law enforcement use by the Webb County Sheriff’s Office, contingent upon approval by Commissioners Court.
