Discussion and possible action to approve the posting and filling of the following part-time Slots, subject to the availability of payroll funds and any applicable Civil Service guidelines, effective August 28, 2023:

Issue: At the being of this year, 36,000 meals have been served. Currently, we have 6 fixed daily routes. Our program has increased and doubled the number of clients and is now servicing up to 476 clients per day, to continue giving the top-quality service that we have been given since the start, we need to create new routes and divide the amounts of clients from the current ones which will need part-time drivers. These slots would not affect general funds it would come from Grant funds.

Solution: Requesting authorization by the court for the creation and posting of these positions allowing the Meals on Wheels Program to add additional part-time divers, so we may create new routes.

Result: Filling of these slots will help the timely delivery of hot nutritional meals to the elderly and disabled of Webb County.
