Issue: Webb County CAA Social Services offers several programs that assist over 3,000 low income households in Webb County. These programs currently include a light assistance program (CEAP), a water assistance program (LIHWAP), and a CDL license training program (TOPS). Adequate staff is necessary to maintain the number of daily appointments required to achieve maximum assistance to qualified low income households. This slot would not affect general funds.
Solution: Requesting authorization by the court for the approval and posting of this position to allow CAA Social Services to fill in a slot to maintain optimal services.
Result: Filling in this slot will help CAA Social services continue providing much needed assistance to low income Webb County residents. |
