Discussion and possible action to accept a grant from the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) in the amount of TWO HUNDRED NINETY-THREE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SEVENTEEN DOLLARS ($293,417.00) for acquisition of Fire Department equipment to increase the ability of the Webb County Fire Department to provide crucial fire protection services within rural Webb County and authorize the Webb County Judge to sign all relevant documentation.  [Requested by Juan Vargas, Webb County Economic Development Executive Director]
Background:
The Webb County Economic Development Department submitted this Texas Department of Agriculture - Community Development Fund application under the 2013-2014 TxCDBG Community Development Funding Cycle.  The 2013-2014 TDA Community Development award is for $293,417 in grant funds and $29,342 Cash match to be provided from the Webb County Volunteer Fire Department Budget.
