Discussion and possible action to approve the donation of a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria Unit 9-71; VIN #2FABP7BV7BX166810 to the City of Rio Bravo Police Department and authorizing the Webb County Judge to execute all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: The City of Rio Bravo Police Department has demonstrated a need for such a vehicle to be use for law enforcement purposes.

Solution: Donate the vehicle from the District Attorney’s Office to the City of Rio Bravo Police Department.

Result: The City of Rio Bravo Police Department will obtain a vehicle to support their law enforcement activities.

Background:

Vehicle was purchased in 2011 with Department of Justice Equitable Sharing Funds. The vehicle has 64,000 miles. This will be a donation therefore Webb County will not be receiving any monies or in kind services. The vehicle will be used by the City of Rio Bravo Police Department for law enforcement purposes.
