Subject:

Discussion and possible action to authorize the development and submission of a 2017 Community Outdoor Outreach Program Grant Application not to exceed $50,000.00 with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and to designate the County Judge as the authorized representative of the County to act on behalf of the Webb County Commissioners Court in all matters pertaining to the submission and execution of the grant. This grant will propose in-kind match only. Therefore, the 2017 COOP grant will have no impact on the General Fund. [Requested by Juan Vargas, Executive Director, Webb County Economic Development Department]

Background:

Grant funds are being sought to provide meaningful education outdoor recreational opportunities for the use of the County of Webb.
