Discussion and possible action to award a contract to Square E Engineering in the amount of $59,960.00 for essential backup programming and SCADA historian computer server improvements for the Ultra Violet Disinfection System installed at the Rio Bravo Water Treatment Plant. [Account #7220-7280-474501 (2016 Bond Series)]

Issue: The UV Disinfection System has been successfully installed and approved by TCEQ; however, limitations on the storage process for the data required to comply monthly with TCEQ requirements required improvement.

Solution: Completion of programming of SCADA logic, and coordination with TCEQ along with replacement power supply and computer server will provide us with more consistency. Contract the improvement with annual contractor.

Result: Provide continued compliance.

Background:

On August 30th Webb County received notice of TCEQ authorized approval of the UV Disinfection process.
