Preliminary Approval for High Caliber Estates Plat

Subject:
Discussion and possible action to grant Preliminary Plat Approval to High Caliber Estates Plat and grant a waiver from Section IX.2. of the Subdivision Regulations which call for cross streets at 1,500 feet and a maximum length of 1,000 feet for dead end streets. The Planning Advisory Board recommended approval of this item contingent upon compliance with staff comments at their meeting of September 14, 2017.
Background:
Item is a regulatory compliance matter with development provisions of state and local laws/regulations.
 
The proposed plat was considered by the Planning Advisory Board (PAB) on September 14, 2017.  At said meeting, the PAB recommended preliminary plat approval contingent upon compliance with any staff comments.  The PAB also recommended approval of the applicant’s request for exception to cross streets at 1,500 feet and a maximum length of 1,000 feet for dead end streets.
 
Pursuant to the PAB’s directive, the design and construction plans of public road and drainage facilities have been submitted and approved by the Engineering Department Director; therefore, the preliminary plat is eligible for submission to the Commissioners Court for consideration of the preliminary plat approval.
