Discusssion and possible action to increase pay rates by 5% for Webb County C.A.A. El Aguila Rural Transit employees from grant funds, in order to provide a more competitive wage and retain long term employment as allowed by the granting agency.  No Impact to the General Fund.

Issue: Previous pay rate increase for department was done back on 09/26/2016 by the Court's approval item 10c and current pay rate is not competitive and may discourage long term employment.

Solution: Establish a more competitive pay to improve and sustain employment.

Result: Both drivers and administrative staff will benefit from the adjustment which is needed due to increased cost of living.
Background:
The Texas Department of Transportation has approved the proposed salary / hourly pay adjustments.
