Discussion and possible action to authorize the following two County vehicles previously approved for auction to be transferred on a temporary basis to the Fire Marshal’s Department pending the delivery of new fleet ordered through leasing program and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #1001-3130-001-462605 (Fuel and Lubricants)]

Issue: On September the 12th, Commissioners Court authorized the Purchasing Agent to order three (3) new lease vehicles for the newly created Fire Marshal Department.  Due to delivery lead time of approximately 21-22 weeks, the Fire Marshal will need some temporary units for operational purposes.   
 
Solution: Authorize the transfer of two (2) vehicles identified above, previously approved for auction, to be temporarily assigned to the Fire Marshal’s Department until arrival of leased units.  
 
Result: Approval of transfer will allow the Fire Marshal to establish a temporary fleet for Department use.
