He welcomed all teachers, administrators, Head Start representatives, former County Judge Mercurio Martinez, and Dr. Vida. Cmr. Canales thanked Ms. Geraldine Garza for the singing of the national anthem. He invited all the Webb County families and veterans to the Hero Salute Month luncheon at the end of April. Cmr. Canales congratulated the United High School Lariettes for their grand champions title win. He congratulated the District Attorney's Office on the opening of the new shooting range. Cmr. Canales congratulated Jose Pepe Arizola, student at Washington Middle School for being chosen as student of the month. He sent out his heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Rolando Curly Martinez, Consuelo Pena, Maria Gregoria Gonzalez, and Maria Isabel Rodriguez.
