Discussion with possible action regarding the imminent threat to public health and safety as a result of the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), as declared by the World Health Organization as a pandemic on March 11, 2020. Matters to be discussed are as follows:
- Suspension of all County-related travel for a period of thirty (30) days.
- Suspension of all Community Center services for a period of thirty (30) days.
- Discussion by Judge Joe Lopez, Administrative Judge, regarding the suspension of civil and criminal trials and jury duty.
- Authorize Emergency Management Coordinator and Risk Management Director to develop policies that address epidemics and/or pandemics.
- Retain the professional services of a cleaning and custodial company to assist the County's Building Maintenance Department in sanitizing all county buildings to reduce the exposure of germs and airborne viruses; and any other matters incident thereto.

Motion by County Judge Tano E. Tijerina, seconded by Commissioner, Pct 4 Cindy Liendo to suspend all County related travel for the departments under the purview of Commissioners Court, from today forward; for the next thirty (30) days

Judge Tijerina announced that a COVID-19 work screening questionnaire will be provided to all county employees by HR. |

Discussion was made by Administrative Judge, Joe Lopez regarding the suspension of civil/criminal trials and jury duty. He also provided recommendation that was given to him by the Office of Court Administration (OCA). |

Motion by County Judge Tano E. Tijerina, seconded by Commissioner, Pct. 3 John C. Galo to provide paid leave for employees when they or a member of their household tests positive for COVID-19; accruals must be used when an employee has tested negative for COVID-19
