Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for architectural services to prepare the design work, provide estimated construction costs, preparation of construction documents for bid solicitation, and construction administration for the renovation of the 406th Judicial District Courtroom pursuant to the Texas Government Code; Professional Services Procurement Act and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: The 406^th Judicial District Courtroom requires renovations to the Courtroom to better facilitate the courtroom proceedings by renovating the location of the existing jury box, access to the jury deliberation room and renovation of the judge's bench, courtroom reporter and witness stands.

Solution: Consideration to authorize a formal solicitation for the professional services requested in accordance with the professional services procurement act.

Result: If approved, the RFQ will be posted to secure sealed statement of qualifications from architectural firms / individuals for consideration to award by Commissioners Court, subject to budget appropriations.
