Discussion and possible action to authorize acceptance of the FY 2026 Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) grant award contract #61260004652 from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) in the amount of ONE HUNDRED SIXTY-SIX THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED SIX DOLLARS ($166,806.00) and designating the Webb County Judge as the authorized official to sign all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. Contract shall commence on January 01, 2026, and shall end on December 31, 2026. No impact on the General Fund. Documentation has been reviewed by Webb County Economic Development Department and is compliant with SPOC policies and procedures. [Requested by Guillermo Walls, CAA Director; Grant Fund #2368]

Issue: The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) has awarded the Webb County Community Action Agency a grant award in the amount of $166,806.00 under the FY 2026 Community Services Block Grant (CSBG).

Solution: The Court’s approval and acceptance of this grant contract will allow the Webb County CAA to continue to provide direct services to eligible low-income residents of Webb County under the CSBG Program.

Result: These grant funds will be available to assist eligible low-income Webb County residents.
