Discussion and possible action to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Webb County Community Action Agency (CAA) and Workforce Solutions for South Texas (WSST) to further coordinate the referral process to expand the availability of additional support services for both program participants and general job seekers, and any other matters incident thereto; and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents.

Issue: Both the Webb County Community Action Agency (CAA) and Workforce Solutions for South Texas (WSST) constantly seek to further enhance their efforts to assist local community members with needed services during challenging economic times.

Solution: Through an MOU, the Webb County Community Action Agency (CAA) and Workforce Solutions for South Texas (WSST) will be able to augment their coordinated, collaborative efforts to assist moderate-to-low income citizens in the local Laredo/Webb County community.

Result: Citizens in the Laredo/Webb County area who need help will be able to receive coordinated, enhanced services from the Webb County Community Action Agency (CAA) and Workforce Solutions for South Texas (WSST) to assist them during their time of financial hardship.
