Discussion and possible action to approve a construction contract between Webb County and Waukesha-Pearce Industries, LLC (Buy-Board Cooperative Contract #657-21) for the installation of three (3) commercial size generators for the Webb County Fire Stations located at Los Botines, Main, and Quad Cities in an amount not to exceed $67,119.00 pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code; Sections 271.101, 271.102, Sub-Chapter F. Cooperative Purchasing Programs authorizing the Webb County Judge to execute all relevant documents and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #1001-1130-001-470000 (Capital Outlay)]

Background:

Los Botines Fire Station:
1.   Install new 50kw generator, provided by others, on existing concrete and bolt to slab.
2.   Remove existing ATS and Install new transfer switch, provided by others.
3.   Extend existing wiring from existing conduits to generator and transfer switch.
4.   Reuse existing feeders and conduits where available.
5.   Connect battery charger and block heater circuits.
6.   Connect control circuit between generator and ATS.
7.   Furnish diesel fuel for generator to 80% capacity per manufacturer’s recommendations.
8.   Provide all lifting support to set equipment at jobsite.
9.   Make all final terminations and connections for an operational system.
10. Inlcudes P&P Bond

Sub-Total Proposal for Above Scope:                                      $ 15,177.00

Main Fire Station:
1.   Remove existing 200 amp transfer switch and replace with junction box.
2.   Reuse existing generator.
3.   Install H-Frame with pipes, pipe caps, and Unistrut near electrical pole.
4.   Install new transfer switch, provided by others, on new H-Frame and connect to existing service.
5.   Install all necessary conduits to run a circuit from existing generator to new transfer switch location.
6.   Make all final terminations and connections for an operational system.
7. Includes P&P Bond.

Sub-Total Proposal for Above Scope:                                      $ 30,611.00

Quad City Fire Station:
1.   Install generator, provided by others.
2.   Install transfer switch, provided by others.
3.   Furnish and Install underground conduits from generator to ATS’.
4.   Furnish and Install copper feeders from generator to ATS’.
5.   Furnish and Install copper feeders from utility meter base to ATS’.
6.   Furnish and Install low voltage conductors for battery charger and clock heater circuits.
7.   Furnish and Install control circuit between generator and ATS.
8.   Provide concrete pad for generator and anchor to generator to concrete.
9.   Provide lifting support to offload and set equipment at jobsite.
10. Make all final terminations and connections for an operational system.
11. Furnish diesel fuel to 80% capacity per manufacturer recommendation.
12. Includes P&P Bond
