The Johnson High School Cheerleaders traveled to Dallas, TX to compete at NCA Nationals Championship this past weekend. After day 1 - preliminary - competition, our JHS Cheerleaders were in 1st place by .06 points. The team went out on day 2 and secured their victory, executing a perfect routine with zero deductions. The Lyndon B. Johnson HS Cheerleaders were also awarded their third consecutive National Championship along with the specialty awards of Best Use of Stunts and CoEd Excellence.
The team is under the direction of Head Coach Andrea Herrera along with Assistant Coach Lesly Contreras.
Team Members include Senior, Karina Hernandez; Juniors: Captain-Brianna Merino, Paulina Perez, Jacqueline Neri, Victor Gutierrez; Sophomores: Melanie Garcia, Briana Chapa, Michelle Terrazas; Freshman: Nidia de la Rosa, Kaela Sandoval and Linzy Garcia.
