Discussion and possible action to approve a Resolution regarding various compliance matters required by the Texas Department of Agriculture Texas Community Development Block Grant #7219095, and authorizing the Webb County Judge to sign all relevant documentation. Issue: Civil Rights and other compliance requirements must be implemented by Webb County to comply with grant funding agency program requirements.
Solution: Civil Rights must be implemented and will allow compliance of Citizen Participation Planned Grievance Procedures, Section 3 Policy, Excessive Force Policy, Section 504 Policy, Limited English Proficiency and Fair Housing.
Result: The Economic Development Department will assure compliance with requirements from funding agency.
Background:
Grant funds were awarded by the Texas Department of Agriculture - Colonia Fund Construction for water system improvements in Mirando City in the amount of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) and Two Hundred Thousand ($200,000) coming from Match Funds.
Previous Court Action:
Commissioners Court approved the acceptance of the Texas Community Development Program (TCDP) contract #7219095 from the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) in the amount of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) and Two Hundred Thousand ($200,000) coming from match funds for water system improvements in Mirando City and authorize the Webb County Judge to sign all relevant documentation.
