Discussion and possible action to enter into a thirteen-year licensing agreement (March 25, 2024 through May 31, 2038) with the Mirando City Water Supply Corporation for the installation of two Omni radio antennae, two microwave dishes, and assorted cabling on the Water Supply Corporation's Water Tower located off the 100 Block of J. W. Edgar Street, Mirando City, Texas, as upgrades to the Webb County Sheriff's public safety radio system, authorizing the County Judge to execute all relevant document and any other matters incident thereto. [No Financial Impact on the General Fund]
Issue: In order to perform his constitutional duties to serve and protect the constituents of Webb County, the Sheriff is seeking to install radio communication equipment in Mirando City, Texas.
Solution: Approach the Mirando City Water Supply Corporation about using their water tower as a site for the installation of its radio communication equipment.
Result: Enter into a long term licensing agreement to use the Water Supply Corporation Water Tower in Mirando City to place it radio communication equipment on said water tower.
Background:
Installation of radio communication equipment on the Water tower in Mirando City, Texas in order for the Sheriff to perform his constitutional duties to serve and protect the constituents of Webb County.
