Discussion and possible action, pursuant to Section 251.051 of the Texas Transportation Code entitled “General County Authority Relating to [County] Roads and Bridges,” to authorize by Resolution and Order of the Webb County Commissioner’s Court to grant, convey, assign, deed, or quitclaim any interest (beneficial or otherwise) that it may own, if any, in the property described as an approximately 1.4 acre tract along the Southern boundary of Wright Ranch subdivision, which tract is a portion of what had historically been referred to as “Wormser Road”, to the record title owner of the property, Laredo Four Winds II, Inc.; and any other matters incident thereto.
Issue: Webb County relocated a 1.4 acre tract along the Southern boundary of Wright Ranch subdivision, located in Webb County, Texas which is referred to as Wormser Road. Said alteration, movement, and relocation of such road was in the best interest and benefit of the public and Webb County and done in order to facilitate traffic flow, provide for a better and more adequate road infrastructure.
Solution: Section 251.051 of the Texas Transportation Code allows the Court relocate and replace a road with a new road and is authorizing any interest in the property be convey, assigned, deeded, or quitclaimed to surface owner.
Result: Complete process of relocation of property.
