Discussion and possible action to approve Webb County Purchasing Department Procedures for the purchase of food items.
Problem: There has been an increased request for the purchase of food items. There is a concern that items purchased should have an acceptable documented purpose.
Solution: The approval by the Webb County Commissioner’s Court of the Purchasing Department procedures serves as an internal control and documents the purpose of these purchases.
Result: The approval of the Purchasing Department procedures will provide improved accountability for the use of Webb County funds.
