Issue: To ensure continuing funding for the 406th District Court Adult Drug Court Program that has been in operation since 2010.
Solution: Apply for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) Grants to Expand Substance Abuse Treatment Capacity in Adult and Family Drug Courts.
Result: To provide substance abuse and co-occurring pyschiatric disorders treatment services to qualifying participants of Webb County.

The grant is being offered by the SAMHSA Drugs Courts Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration Center for Substance Abuse Treatment in the amount of $325,000.00
Previous Court Action:
The Webb County Commissioner's Court approved and authorized the establishment of a Drug Court Program in Webb County and designated the 406th Judicial District Court Adult Drug Court Program as one of the courts authorized to implement the program via the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
