Discussion and possible action to enter into a One (1) year (September 30, 2016 - September 29, 2017) Program Evaluator Contract between Webb County and La Familia Consulting and Counseling Services for the 406th District Court Adult Drug Court Program at a cost not to exceed TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($25,000.00); pursuant to Section 262.024 Discretionary Exemptions (A)(4) Professional Services; and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: According to the National Association for Drug Court Professionals monitoring and evaluation measure the achievement of program goals and gauge effectiveness are part of the 10 Key Components that prove to be effective for Drug Court Programs.
Solution: The Program Evaluator will monitor the performance and compliance of the project with model fidelity to keep court personnel and all program staff aware of the program standards and issues. This includes preparing and submitting monthly and annual performance reports as required by SAMHSA.
Result: The evaluator will ensure the program is in full compliance with grant requirements to meet goals and objectives for the success of the program.

Previous Court Action:
The Webb County Commissioner's Court approved and authorized the establishment of a Drug Court Program and designated the 406th District Court as one of the courts authorized to implement the program.
