Issue: During the budget adoption for fiscal year 2016-17, several new departments were created such as the business and financial office, environmental and gaming task force and the separation of the Risk Management and Human Resource departments. All new job descriptions or modifications to existing job descriptions for any position must be approved by the Commissioners Court prior to being submitted to civil service commission for certification.
Solution: Approve the submittal of job descriptions and/or modifications to existing titles and job descriptions for certification by the civil service commission.
Result: Comply with civil service rules and regulations.
