Issue: New equitable shared funds have been received from the U.S Department of Justice. These funds have now been awarded to the District Attorney's Office to be spent in accordance with the equitable shared guidelines.
Solution: Appropriate new revenues and expenditures not currently budgeted for FY 2016-2017.
Result: Utilize new equitable shared funds for law enforcement purposes and in accordance with Equitable sharing guidelines.

The District Attorney's Office participates in the Equitable Shared Program run by the U.S Department of Justice. One electronic wire has been received by the District Attorney's Office and available to appropriate into their respective forfeiture fund(s). The DOJ Equitable Shared funds are mainly a result of collaboration between different law enforcement agencies and the Webb County DA by sharing Intel and conducting law enforcement operations in South Texas..
