Issue: Previous pay rate increase for department was done back on 09/26/2016 by the Court's approval item 10c and current pay rate is not competitive and may discourage long term employment.
Solution: Establish a more competitive pay to improve and sustain employment.
Result: Both drivers and administrative staff will benefit from the adjustment which is needed due to increased cost of living.
Background:
The Texas Department of Transportation has approved the proposed salary / hourly pay adjustments.
